Faith Matters
Faith Matters was founded in 2005 by the social entrepreneur, Fiyaz Mughal OBE. It was set up to bring communities together and to support integration of communities, particularly the British ones that are impacted by conflicts in the Middle East. The organization conducts countering extremism work, whether far right or Islamist extremism, whilst countering anti-Muslim hate crimes and supporting victims who have suffered hate offences. It conducts interfaith and integration work, promoting interactions among Muslim, Sikh, Christian and Jewish communities across the UK.
Faith Matters has also developed unique and specialised services such as the Tell MAMA project. It is the leading British Islamophobia or hate crime monitoring project around anti-Muslim hatred and maps. In addition to this project, Faith Matters has also run numerous local, regional and national projects.
